March Stamp Club Project

In March we did Easter projects.  The first card was done by stamping the Chocolate Bunny stamp on Chocolate Chip paper with Versamark and then embossing it with clear embossing powder.  The eggs were done using the large oval punch and the Designer Label punch was used for the sentiment and the Well Scripted Stamp Set.

The second card was done using the Easter stamp set Abundant Hope and the Faux Silk Technique.  This technique can be found HERE at Split Coast Stampers.  The Modern Label punch was used for the sentiment and the Scallop Trim punch was used for the edges of the Certainly Celery paper.

December Stamp Club Project

Ok, so I have been a horrible blogger and no one is probably even following me anymore (at least not checking in regularly!), but I am going to update with a few of our past stamp club projects and now that my stamp area is done hopefully some new projects.

In December we made calendars using the Easel Card Technique.  You can find a tutorial for this at Split Coast Stampers.  I used a clear envelope to hold the month pages.

Glass Etching using vinyl

Glass Etching is super simple and can make really cute gifts. We etched votive candle holders in our January Stamp Club for Valentine's day. Here are the super simple instructions!


Supplies Needed:
Etching Cream (can be found at any craft store)
Decor Elements Vinyl Sheets (Chocolate Chip used here 114337)
Any punch (Heart to Heart punch used here 113694)
Glass item - candle holder, plate, cup, anything you can think of!
Small paint brush to apply etching cream

Step 1
Cut your vinyl to a small manageable size. I used 3x3 inch pieces for this project. Punch the vinyl to create your template.


Step 2
Apply the punched vinyl to your glass object. Brush out any air bubbles that form - especially those around the punched area. If you just can't get them out, peel off the vinyl and start again. I made my fair share of mistakes and was able to peel and stick the vinyl quite a few times before it started loosing it's stick.

Step 3
Once the vinyl is on, brush on your etching cream. I put quite a bit a bit on and found that dabbing it on worked best.

Step 4
Read the instructions on your etching cream to know how long to let it sit. Mine only had to sit for a couple of minutes, but I was trying to multitask and ended up leaving it on for more like 10. Oops! Once the time is up, you can just rinse off the etching cream and peel away the vinyl.


Here is the end result!

***Tip*** While I used the 3x3 piece of vinyl to create the 3 etched hearts, you could also use the punched shapes to etch around them and create the opposite look.

November Stamp Club - Pick a Petal

This month we used the Pick a Petal stamp set to make 5 different cards. Here they are! All of these cards are CASEd from images I found on splitcoaststampers.com. All of them but one were done by multiple people so I do not have one specific person to credit. The black and white flower I need to go back and try to find whose it was. I wrote down her screen name and now can't find it. I will update the post when I have the information. Thanks!

October Stamp Club Project

Once again I know I'm late at posting this, but here are the two cards we made for our October Stamp Club meeting.

September Stamp Club Project

Ok, so I know we are well into October and stamp club meets tomorrow night, but here is what we did last month! It is hard to see the embossing on these cards, but both were ran through the cuttlebug using embossing folders before being attached to the card fronts.
