My Digital Studio Updates
The My Digital Studio color update is now available! The below message was taken from the Stampin' Up! demonstrator's website. Go and get your updates now!
The version 1.0.4 update to My Digital Studio is now available. With this free update, not only will you get the latest My Digital Studio features and functionality, you also get all of the new colors (including digital card stock, ink colors and Patterns Designer Series Paper) from the recent color renovation! That’s a $50 value!
It is important that you have the most recent version of the My Digital Studio software prior to installing the color updates.
Updating your software:
- If you have installed the initial update (version 1.0.1), simply click Help and select Check for Updates in the My Digital Studio software. The update will be performed automatically.
- If you have not completed the initial update, download and install version 1.0.1 first, and then complete the steps listed above to get the most recent update.
Once you have the most recent version, you can download color updates by going to www.stampinup.com/mydigitalstudio and clicking on the MDS Updates page.
Stampin’ Up! will also send an e-mail to all registered My Digital Studio users who have opted to receive e-mail from the company to alert them of the free upgrade and provide similar instructions as found above.

Note Cards
So I found a fellow demo's blog that has some great MDS tutorials. Check out her great ideas and tutorials at Patty's Stamping Spot. She posted a tutorial about using the inside of a card to create another card front or note card to save money. Well, I took it one step further and put 4 notecards onto one 8 1/2 x 11 sheet so I can print from home and cut them apart. This way I get 4 cute notecards from one sheet of cardstock - what a great money saver. The same could be done to create cardfronts that you could adhere to different colored cardstock to create a full greeting card. The possibilities are endless!

Baby Announcement 1
Before our new son, Canden, was born I started designing birth announcements using My Digital Studio. I prepared one for a girl and one for a boy since we didn't know what we were having yet. This card was created in the 5x7 size using elements and papers from the Rock-a-bye kit.
I have since decided to just order from an online site and not use these purely for cost reasons. I spent a little more on Christmas cards then I had planned and decided to save a little bit of money by purchasing a pre-designed card. Here is the Girl announcement and I will post the Boy announcement tomorrow.

2009 Christmas Card
I finally finished designing our Christmas cards and am so happy with how they turned out. I originally designed this card using My Digital Studio, but the company I ordered through had slightly different dimensions that I had to follow, so I recreated it in Adobe Photoshop using the MDS elements. Here is the final image that I used to order our cards. All papers and elements are from the Christmas Jingle Kit.

The Helland Wedding
So, it has only been 3 1/2 years since Jen and Jesse got married. I'm too far behind :) Well, I decided that since I never printed any pictures, it would give me a good excuse to try out a new digi template. This was the first template I have ever used and it went well. I struggled a little trying to figure out what the heck I was doing, but once I got the hang of it, it went pretty fast. I already have my next template picked out! (click on the picture to enlarge it!)

Life Is Good
I created this layout for the digi challenge on SCS. The challenge was to download freebies for a week from divinedigital.com and then create a layout using those freebies. Everything on this page, except the title, was from this kit.

My first Hybrid Page
The digi challenge this week at SCS was to create a hybrid page. I have never done anything like this, so it was definitely a challenge. I think I did things a little backwards. I just started by designing the digi portion of the page without thinking about what I was going to do with it when I was done. So, I ended up with a great digi part, and then struggled to find papers that matched the off-colors I had used. I also didn't think about what I was going to do to make it all blend together and work. I know now that you really do have to plan everything out, just as you would a regular paper page. Start with what you want the final layout to be, what elements are you going to use, what colors, how will it all work together. I am excited to try this out again and see what I can come up with. Wish me luck!

Digi #2
So, I completed my second digi page yesterday at lunch. I am not completely satisfied with it, but I'm not sure what needs to be done yet. It may be the title, I think it looks "too digital". I will post what I have and if I make any changes I will just post it again :) I used pieces from the following digi kits:
Christine Smith - Forever Mine kit
Foxy Designs - February Blog Train
Rhonna Farrer - April Free {Pea} Digital Kit

My First Digi Page!!!
So, I completed my first digi page last night! I have been meaning to sit down and figure out PSE for quite some time now and just never got around to it. Last night I was avoiding homework, so this is what I did instead. Considering it is my first, I am pretty happy with it. I am just itching to learn more though.
