The Helland Wedding

So, it has only been 3 1/2 years since Jen and Jesse got married. I'm too far behind :) Well, I decided that since I never printed any pictures, it would give me a good excuse to try out a new digi template. This was the first template I have ever used and it went well. I struggled a little trying to figure out what the heck I was doing, but once I got the hang of it, it went pretty fast. I already have my next template picked out! (click on the picture to enlarge it!)

Life Is Good

I created this layout for the digi challenge on SCS. The challenge was to download freebies for a week from and then create a layout using those freebies. Everything on this page, except the title, was from this kit.

This week's Unity

I participated in Unity's Hip Hop again yesterday. What fun, and such a fun group of gals! I was even lucky enough to win a free stamp - you can't beat that. Well, here are the cards I made for the challenges. All three of them were quick and simple, but I think they turned out okay. I had Madeline "helping" out last night, so I needed something simple or I would never finish! The first challenge was to create something that would someone smile. I did a couple of different cards for this one. The second challenge was to create something with the "colors of your heart" - pink, red, white and neutrals - but it couldn't be valentines. I did a simple thanks card with Pink and Brown. It seems I really like the pink/brown and blue/brown color combos yesterday!

Quick Thank U

I put together a quick thank you card at lunch today. Nothing exciting - but I figured who wouldn't want to see this ;)

Ink: Stampin' Up

American Idol - here I come

So, I am participating in an American Idol contest through Scrap-Tastic. It is somewhat based on the tv show. Each week we will have a challenge to complete, many of which will involve music influence. After everyone has submitted their pages, the DT will "vote" someone off. This will be a tough one for me, but it is fun and challenging is always good. It gets my creative juice flowing!

The first challenge was to create a page using 10 patterned paper, NO cardstock, and to choose a song to influence your page. The song I chose was Colors by Kira Willey. It is a very simple song, but cute.

February's Christmas Card

cI'm a little late on posting, but it is only because I just finished these this weekend. I really waited until the last minute this month. That would also explain why they aren't that exciting. I needed something quick and easy, and this was it.

My first Unity Creations!

Well, I participated in last Thursdays Hip Hop. It was my first one, so I'm still figuring it all out and what it's about, but I sure did have fun. They have a couple of challenges, a GREAT blog hop, a chat thread that goes all day, and prizes, lots of them. Here are the two cards I made for the challenges last week. They also happen to be my first creations with all my new Unity stamps!
