Digi #2

So, I completed my second digi page yesterday at lunch. I am not completely satisfied with it, but I'm not sure what needs to be done yet. It may be the title, I think it looks "too digital". I will post what I have and if I make any changes I will just post it again :) I used pieces from the following digi kits:

Christine Smith - Forever Mine kit
Foxy Designs - February Blog Train
Rhonna Farrer - April Free {Pea} Digital Kit

One More Cuttlebug

One more and then I'm done for the night. I have to try to update our family blog a bit tonight too. Well, this is another card I made using the Cuttlebug embossing folders. These are so much fun to play with. For this one, I used chalk to color the embossed portion of the design. It was a lot of fun and think it turned out pretty darn good. Hope you enjoy!

Valentines 2009

Well, I saw this idea of melting crayons into hearts on a few different blogs as well as on SCS. I decided to give it a try. I don't have any old crayons laying around, so I actually had to go buy some, but either would work. I broke them down into smaller pieces and then put the equivalent to about 4 crayons in each of the heart shaped tins. I "baked" them at 200-250 for 15-20 minutes. Just keep an eye on them and as soon as they seem to be melted all the way through you can take them out and let them cool. I made these along with a mini coloring album to give to the kids. I made them for Jason's class and Madeline's daycare. I think the kids might have been a little dissapointed that it wasn't candy, but they liked them anyway! I don't know what I'm going to do next year to top these though. I should probably start thinking now :)

Mom's Birthday Card

This is the card I made for my mom for her birthday. I just got the cow stamp from TAC and couldn't wait to use it. I just thought they were so darn cute. I am kinda new to this whole coloring thing though. I used the Bic Mark-Its on this card, but have been trying out these as well as colored pencils and watercolor pencils. Hopefully I will figure out what works best for me so I can then work on "mastering" it. I don't know that I will ever master it, but I'll sure work at getting better anyway :)

So, these have been done for a couple weeks now, but I have been a little behind on posting. I'll try to get caught up on what I've been up to the past couple of weeks. Enjoy!
