Unity KOM Blog Hop

I am so excited for this weekends KOM blog hop! If you didn't start at the beginning, head back to Angela's blog and start hopping! I've been in a little bit of a crafting funk the past month, so I didn't get a big fancy project done like planned. Here is a card I made a couple of weeks ago for my grandma. It uses the April KOM. Head on over to Pamela's World of Scrap next!

Unity Birthday Week Color Challenge

This week, Unity is celebrating 1 year!!! There will be a challenge everyday and the prize of all prizes is being offered - a full year of Unity KOM! WOW! It really doesn't get much better than that! Well I combined the color challenge (Kraft, So Saffron, Baja Breeze, Ruby Red) with the weekly scrapbook sketch. These were some cute pictures of Madeline being goofy!

Holy cows!

I just realized that I haven't posted anything in 3 weeks! I knew it had been a while, but holy. I don't have a picture for you right now, my camera is not with me at the moment, but I do have a couple new cards to post. I have been on a crafting hiatus the past couple weeks. I'm working on finishing up the semester, so I've spent more time working on homework than crafts. I am almost done though, so I can get back to having fun!

HHH 2/3

It's Friday and you know what that means - it's Hip Hop Hangover day! I have a couple simple cards for you this week. The first one I did for the Oh, Baby Unity challenge yesterday. I don't have any baby-themed Unity stamps (yet, they are all on sale here), so I put this together using the November Kit of the Month. By the way, if you aren't a KOTM member yet, sign up here - it is the best deal around! Back to the card - I was pretty excited because I used my Prismacolor pencils (thanks to my wonderful Unity friend Kristen for selling me hers) for the first time with mineral spirits on this card. For my first time, I think I did pretty darn good!

The second card I did for the CAS challenge this week on SCS. It was a sketch challenge and I don't think it could have gotten any easier than this. I put this together in about 5 minutes (and it might show), but I have become such a HUGE fan of the CAS style, that I just might stick with it for a while! The sentiment is from the November KOTM also.

I was able to cross off two challenges for this card! That always makes me happy :) The first challenge was the limited supply challenge - use only black and white - no other colors at all. The second was the sketch challenge through the Unity thread. Here is a picture of the sketch.

CAS07

This card was completed for the CAS07 challenge on SCS. The challenge was to make a CAS card using punches.

Christmas in March

It's that time again! I finished my Christmas cards for the month of March. I didn't think I was going to get them done, but I got 'em done last night!
